Son realmente espectaculares
Me siento muy cómodo con estas zapatillas, he usado de bastantes marcas con buenos resultados y aunque ya Antea había usado un par de barricade, estas si que son un lujo.Nunca he escrito una reseña de ningún artículo. Pero este zapato realmente vale la pena. Tengo un pie intermedio y me ajustan perfecto, las almohadas que bordean el talón me dan mucha sensación de seguridad (ya tuve una fractura de tobillo) y soy muy exigente con el zapato en elSentido que me quede justo. Ni grande, ni pequeño…Lo único malo es que normalmente soy talla 9 con la mayoría de marcas, pedí un 1er par talla 9 y me quedó grande, las devolví y pedí nuevamente 8,5 y me quedaron perfectas.

Pretty good tennis shoe
I’m over 50 yrs old, play tennis 3-4 times per week for 1.5 to 2 hours singles. These shoes fit my flat, wide feet snugly. Weird lacing system looks dopey but I understand concept to keep shoe snug in forefoot. Strap overlying laces helps you pull up on tongue to minimize bunching. Insole is a bit hard so I changed out to softer insole. I’ve worn barricades for many years. Prior generations slightly softer. This shoe is geared for serious singles tournament players who need a lot of support, so recreational tennis players might find this shoe too stiff and hard on feet.

Beautiful shoe – needs breaking in
Love the look of the shoe! So cool! Shoe seems to be built to last, (no whimpy mesh that will shred). So, the shoe felt rather stiff at first and is beginning to break in after quite a bit of use. The lacing system is really cool looking/unique, however it makes it difficult to pull up the tongue to where it needs to feel good. neither of these issues can take away the fact that these kicks are starting to feel better after each use and are visually stunning!

A Huge Improvement over “Tennis Shoes”
Much better than wearing regular tennis shoes to the court- the soles allow a perfect balance of grip and slide (if you’re trying to pull a Djokovic) and if anything have an over abundance of ankle support. Others have complained that the laces should go up one higher but in my several months of ownership they are more than adequate. Fair warning though, these will require about 4-5 hours of break in.Pros- great shoe for hardcourt playing, asymmetric lacing takes pressure off the top of your foot, true to size if narrow footed. Sticky/Tacky soles still present after countless hours of playtimeCons- narrower footbed may require sizing up, quite stiff at first several hours of wearing

Nice shoes Ian glad they started making them again
Nice shoe for Pickleball they fit as expected. I play 6 days a week and switch shoes every day. There are not showing any wear yet I wear out shoes fairly quickly have to add a new pair in about every 6 months. These appear to holding up well.

Nice shoe but not fit me
I used to be a fan of Barricade. Comparing to the former version, new barricade is much lighter and the looking is good. However, it’s not comfortable to wear, it lock my angle tight in a bad way. I feel uncomfortable to run even when I wear a thick sock. It’s a good shoe, but I need to return it.

Wider and bigger than previous Barricades
Despite buying these in the same size I have been wearing older Barricades for years and years, this new model runs quite a bit wider and larger. I recommend going a half size smaller than what you might be used to with Adidas.

Not like Novak Barricade
Read some reviews and thought adidas might have brought back the perfect Novak’s Barricades that they retired when he moved to Asics. This is not similar to that. Tried that, found them Stiff and hard but width and size is true to specs. Have been using sole court which is very comfortable with only problem of being too wide for true size. Will try Nike or asics. Adidas is disappointing – why would they retire Novak’s Barricades. Returned these next day.Dont have time and patience to wait for break in.

Broke after wearing twice!
After wearing these shoes twice, the fabric loop holding the laces nearest your ankle has given up and ripped out. Because of the asymmetrical angle that the tongue goes, you cannot wear them to play in anymore without it feeling like your feet will fall out of them. The traction is not as good as their cheaper model of tennis shoes such as the Game Court Tennis Shoes or the Sole Court shoes by Adidas.Its a shame they did not hold up, as they hug your feet very snuggly and are very light to run in

Adidas miss the mark on this one
I play tennis and Pickleball several times a week and this shoe is nothing like the other Adidas shoes I have loved. It it feels and sound very plastic and the heal support is not comfortable leaving me with blisters almost every time I wore them.

Lace hole broke after 2 weeks…
After 2 weeks of use one of the fabric holes to secure the laces on the right shoe ripped off and cannot be repaired. Unusuable to play in as my foot feels like it is going slip out and they cannot be tied properly anymore.

it will hurt your feet
thought I was going insane, bought these for platform tennis, and within one wear the back of my ankle (think where the shoe tab meets the back of your lower leg) was bleeding. tried multiple bandaids, higher socks, you name it. someone I was playing with notice the shoes, first thing they asked is if they cut into my legs.turns out this is a common enough deal that 3 other people had the same issue. maybe that’s too small a sample size to base any decision on but I’ve yet to meet someone that’s owned them that hasn’t had that problem…

UPDATE Shoelace eyelet tore off after 3 months
UPDATE: Shoelace eyelet tore off after 3 months. I have worn these shoes about for about 10 matches. It is unacceptable that these eyelets are so weak. I never had these problems with my old Barricades. Very disappointed now!Ended up with 1/2 size smaller than my old Barricades and same size as my Asics Gel Resolution 8. These Barricades are much more responsive than my Asics. They have a bit less padding/cushioning and this improves connection with the court and makes them feel much quicker and lighter (not sure if they are actually lighter). Great snug fit and break in was only a few hours on court. Style is top-notch!

Disappointing Durability for a Barricade
After playing with Barricades for over a decade I’m disappointed with the experience I’ve had with this new model.Out of the box these were great — took a couple hours to break in but overall they provided everything you’d want in a Barricade: Stability and comfort.However, these fall drastically short when it comes to durability. In the past I’ve had some Barricades last 1 – 2 years. These have hardly lasted four months. Not sure why Adidas would ignore such a critical feature Barricades are famous for, but whatever new materials they are using for the outsoles are clearly a downgrade from before.

Great shoes for stability and speed, good balance.
At the beginning they were a bit uncomfortable for my feet, I had to wear them as much as possible so they start it to fit me well. Now, I can tell why they are so great shoes, the lightness of the shoes allows you to move in the court with ease, and the stability of them are great, specially if your ankle tends to suffer. I’m usually size 11, but I ordered them in 11.5, just because the other shoe were to tight for my withd. Overall, great shoe. Tends to be not much of quality, specially the big Adidas logos in the inside of the shoe.

First reaction – they seem big and heavy – revised – great shoe but they are 1/2 size bigger
So when you first put them on they seem big and heavy compared to say an Asics shoe. However I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and try them on the court. They are certainly very stable – not sure how nimble they will be. If I weighed 250 lbs I could see they are good.Three days later – they are great shoes – compared them to my Asics court shoes, both M10, and the Barricade is a half size bigger. So I should have gotten a half size smaller than usual. Still can use them – the grip is better than the Asics

I love these shoes
I used to wear the older versions of the barricades and was super excited to try the newest edition of the line. I can gladly say after a couple of months of continuous use on the tennis court these shoes do not disappoint. I did have to get one size larger than usual because tennis shoes are notorious for being narrow but they fit just fine. I highly recommend these shoes if you’re considering them.

Could have been a great shoe…
I ended up returning the pair of Adidas Barricade 12 I had. After playing in them twice, I decided there were too many things that could go wrong. Have a pretty narrow foot and the tongue would slip and get in bunches. The laces are pretty thin for those trying to really lock them down. The Bounce in the back of the foot was super cushioned, but moving around, the heel is extremely bulky. Forefoot is low to the ground for good court feel, but didn’t really feel any cushion. Seems like classic Barricade shoe, but feel like there are better options out there.

The Most Uncomfortable Tennis Shoes I’ve Ever Worn!
From the first time I wore these shoes my feet started to hurt and by the 2nd hour it was painful walking to pick up the balls for the next point. There was a strange waffle feeling on the base of the shoe so that I ended up putting the liner from my old Asic shoes in to try to make them feel softer. Didn’t work. I only managed to split my pinkie toenail in half. I went back to my Asic’s and had no problems with my feet.The last match I played I took out the extra liner and tried one last time. Still horrible. Cramped toes and a weird feeling along the sole. Do not recommend these shoes.

3rd time isn’t a charm
Pros: Seem to be made very well similar to the last two sets of barricades. Both my previous sets survived me playing racquetball for yours. The soles and material seem very similar. I expect them to last for years.Cons: The cut around my ankle didn’t do well for me. I ended up with a cut and two blisters. Both heels and the inside of my right foot under my ankle had a linear blister. I have never had shoes do this before. If these don’t hurt your feet I would think they would be great. My last two pairs lasted many years more than anything I could imagine. That is why I tried these. Unfortunately, I have to try a different pair of shoes. My hope was to continue to purchase this great line of shoes and not have to put any time into the decision.If you like these I would tell you to try them and see how they fit your feet. Unfortunately, they don’t fit mine.

Ridiculously High Heel
I was a fan of the Barricade for years and was sad to see it go. So when this was announced I was super stoked!Unfortunately this show does not live up to the Barricade name and legacy. Getting your foot in and out is just awkward with the new asymmetric lacing system (not to mention it doesn’t look like the loops will last that long, but who really knows).Once in, my feet did feel pretty comfortable. “Only” issue was that after wearing them for an incredibly short amount of time, both of my heels starting bleeding. When I compared these to my Asics Gel Res shoes, I noticed the heel part was 1) incredibly high, and 2) incredibly stiff. Even with above ankle socks my skin didn’t stand a chance against these seemingly razorblade-embedded shoes.I honestly have no idea how anyone can stand to play in these. So disappointed in Adidas, and hopefully Amazon stops selling them if enough people have the same issue.But shoutout to the Amazon Customer Service team for understanding my problem and quickly sending me instructions on how to return them!

Not for hard court sliders
If you are a hardcourt slider looking for a durable shoe, these are not for you. They are super thin on the medial side. I tore a hole through to the inside after 3 sessions.

Exactly what I was looking for
Need to get a new pair of tennis shoes and this was exactly what I was looking for. I always need a wider toe box for my shoes, but don’t want it to be so big that I have to lace them funny to prevent my foot from sliding around while playing. Particularmente los uso para mis clases de pádel y los zapatos tienen un desempeño excepcional. Son sumamente cómodos e integran tecnologías que además, hacen que sean seguros y te brinden soporte en el arco, el talón y el empeine. La suela tiene agarre suficiente para no patinar en la superficie sintética, el modelado es ergonómico e incluye tecnología “bounce” que amortigua lo suficiente las pisadas para evitar el estrés del choque al asentar el pie constantemente al momento de correr y saltar. Los materiales son de excelente calidad y el diseño vanguardista lo que les hace lucir llamativos y elegantes. Sin duda el modelo correspondiente al año en que los reemplace, será mi opción.
